Business Project

For about the last week and a half I've been working on an MIS project. MIS stands for managerial information systems. For the project we have to use Microsoft Excell to create several tables and graphs on a spreadsheet for a made up restaurant. As tough as at is I enjoy doing the project so it isn't as much of a struggle to complete it as it is for other kids. Since I'm able to spend a lot of time on it and figure tough problems out on my own a lot of other kids in my class and on my floor with the same project ask me for help. I enjoy helping people cause it makes me feel good about myself and quite smart. I still have more work to do for it but it shouldn't be much more and I'll probably start it after this so I have no more homework for the weekend.

My friend Stew

So I have this friend named Stew. He lives on the same floor as me and when I'm not in my room you can usually find me in his. We typically play video games in his room since he just got a 32 inch TV for his birthday. It's high definition so it's pretty much the best quality around. In the beginning of the year Stew had a full head of curly hair and then one day he decided to shave it all off. It was pretty funny but he looked pretty weird at first but eventually it began to look normal. Today after we went to eat dinner at the dinning hall in Hoko we went to the game room and played pool. After I beat him in two straight games we then decided to play ping pong. After I beat him to straight times in that game we then left. Now I'm sitting here with him currently writing this blog.

Jeremy Lin

So recently this New York Knick basketball player, Jeremy Lin has been all the hype. Before he came to New York he got cut from Golden State he figured he wouldn't be good enough to get playing time. Playing only a few games in New York he quickly caught fire and it's all anyone can talk about. He is a 6 foot Asian point guard. It's usually pretty rare to see an Asian playing in the NBA that isn't a 7 foot tall center, so that definitely plays into the crazy story. During his first 10 games he quickly became the starting point guard and had an average of 26 points a game which is definitely something to be proud of. A lot of people have been skeptical of whether or not Lin can keep up these unbelievable stats. It will be difficult but I believe in him and I hope he continues to prove people wrong had continue on as the success story no one saw coming.

Mall

Since I lost one of my hats at the David Guetta concert I figure it would only be right to go buy a new one. So me and a few friends took the bus to the Fox Run mall and made a day out of it. I had a 35 dollar gift card to Lids which coincidentally worked out pretty nicely. So that was the first store we went into. I ended up buying a white Notre Dame snapback. I'm happy my purchase and have been wearing the hat pretty much every day. After leaving Lids we went to Footlocker so my friend could buy a pair of sneakers. At the store we came across an odd pair of sneakers that were tagged as only 5 dollars. We thought it was a typo at first but one of the employees told us that it was so cheap because they were the last pair and weren't to popular. The only persons foot that the shoe would fit was mine so I spontaneously decided to buy it. They're worth 110 dollars so I might try to resell them only because I don't really see my self wearing them.

Inter-mural Basketball

So tonight we have our first basketball game at the Whitt. Me and some other kids from Christeansen teamed up a few weeks ago and have been practicing on occasion. We aren't really playing that competitively though, we think it would just be fun time to play in an organized league. We're also expecting the other teams to much bigger and better than we are. hopefully we'll come across some teams that we can really keep up with though.  We were assigned to be gray, so we each need to write our names on the back of one of our shirts which is kind of a bummer considering I have to ruin one of my shirts. But we'll see how the season goes, hopefully we can put together a few wins.

David Guetta

Last week i attended the David Guetta concert that the Whittemore Center put on. I had been long awaiting for the concert to come and I was extremely excited when the day came. The concert certainly did not disappoint either. There were so many kids there that I lost contact with my friends half way through didn't see them again until the end. The only downside to the concert was that I accidentally dropped my hat and someone kicked and within a few seconds it was gone. It's not that big of a deal though since I have other hats to wear. I wish the concert had been on a weekend night also. Since it was on Wednesday I didn't get to sleep until around 1 or 2 and I had class the next morning at 10.
